Boost-a-pump on LLT?
I’m SC-ed and running out of fuel at about 6100 rpm. Can anyone confirm that a JMS FuelMax or other fuel boost-a-pump will work with the LLT pump and FSCM? If so, is the tap wire on the FSCM the same color/amp as SS (red/white wire with 30 amp fuse)? Thanks

ZL1 fuel pump for the tank. But how much power are you making? If you're on a smaller pulley over 10# you're gonna run out of fuel with the HPFP. Might be able to use LF3 or LF4 injectors and high pressure fuel pump?

Thanks for the reply. I was pulling 362 rwhp just shy of 6000 rpm and 9.5 lbs of boost. Running Overkill Stage 1, which is supposed to be 8-9 lbs of boost max. Tuner thought I’d max out at 12-13 lbs of boost and around 400 rwhp. The boost seems really high to me, and that’s with a 3-7/8” upper pulley. I can’t run a boost-a-pump on the LLT? If not, I’ll go with the ZL1 pump. Tuner thought that factory injectors should be adequate (?). My fuel pump is dropping from 1800 psi to around 800 psi at 6100 rpm.

ZL1 fuel pump will help a lot, and you may want to explore the larger injectors that Will has used on some other builds ( #119 I think ?), and get the LF4 HPFP, which will also help. The problem with a boost-a-pump is that you are putting a bandaid on a larger problem ( dependable fuel supply). I am at 525+ to the wheels , but had to change to larger injectors, LF4 HPFP, methanol direct injection, and a change to an Aeromotive Camaro Eliminator Fuel System with Fuel Speed Controller to get there $$$$$. Thanks Bill. That info is very helpful. I was watching my data logs and the tank pump appeared to be holding steady at about 60 psi, but I still saw fuel rail pressure drop from 1800 to 800 psi. A bit frightening. I’ll look into the HPFP options.

go with the zl1 in tank pump also do a fresh full read out with hptuners we now have access to the FPCM to turn up the pressure.. next step is cams with moded fuel lobe that good til about 450-500 with no meth .. injectors are a plus.. the lf4 hpfp wont work on the LLT and minimal gains on LFX. last resort is spray it with meth .. i have all of the above done except injetors at 500+ whp with room on the table

I'm thinking that the tank LP fuel pump is providing enough volume/pressure and the HPFP is the weak link in my current situation. Here are some screenshots showing fuel rail pressure at WOT with things going well in the first shot, and then a rapid fuel rail pressure decrease in the next two shots. I was going to install an Alky meth kit to relieve some demand on the HPFP (and clean the valves!) but tlavoie87 mentioned that option as a last result. Advice is much appreciated. Thanks
