Do you ever . . .
. . . crack your window open just a little even though it's cold outside, just so you can hear your car roar when you give it some gas?

One thing I did to help get a fix for need to really hear my exhaust more, without rolling down my windows, is just to lower my rear seats. That might seem strange but, try it some time. You'll be surprised how much the sound is muffled by your seats. I can barely stand my car in its current state with the backseats down. It's excruciatingly loud.

No, but I have had alot of people, including GM dealers tell me they couldnt believe my exhaust was stock.
These cars seem to isolate the driver from the exhaust noise quite well. There's a big difference between the way these cars sound windows up vs down. |

In my area there are a bunch of roadway culverts/tunnels built under an old train line. They make a great echo chamber for the Camaro and my motorcycles and I exploit them appropriately.

Freeway overpasses sound amazing when accelerating up an onramp or crossing under one from a stop light. It's like sound itself ceases and the world becomes quiet just to hear the SS roar.

No window down in the cold for lowly V6 engine sound. After an inhaled burrito though......oh yeah. Gotta stay conscious behind the wheel.

After changing the mufflers out mine actually seems louder with the windows up than with them down. Go figure.

I drop the back seat. Plenty loud, without being cold.
