Fitment

I need to know on if I can run a square set on my 17 1SS, I did it on my 2010 1LT with no issues, I like the 1LE rims but I would go with 20X10 all around, another thing is the offset, I know that the rears have more of an offset than the fronts, now would it be safe to run 20X10 et23 on all four corners and what would be a good tire size without the rubbing issue.

20x10et23 with 285/30 is ok in front. On the rear 20x10 et23 with maybe from 10- 15mm spacer should be fine also with 285/30.
Normal on back are 10.5 et38 or 11 et43

So to square all the way around with 20X10 et23, I would have to stick a thick spacer on the rears to make it work? now what about using a rim with an et38 or 39 (which is what I am running for the rears now with 20X9.5) for the fronts?

No spacer needed on the rear. I have that exact setup and it works perfect. An additional 10-15mm would cause additional poke. A 20x10 with 23mm positive offset actually moves the tire and wheel out from the strut and inner fender liner.

My street setup is 20x10, 23 et (Z/28 replicas) all the way around. Track setup is Apex 19x10, 25 et all the way around. If you want to run an aggressive negative camber on the front (more than -1.0), you will most likely need 3mm spacers with a +23 offset. 1LE wheels are +20 and with most 285 series tires, you need that 3mm. I'm running 5mm spacers on the front (none on the back) with my track setup.

Cool, I was just looking at just the street setup plus I was doing the research on tire sizes, the 285/35-20 (27.9) and 275/35-20 (27.6) and the width is close to being the same so with both tire sizes, I would have a lot of choices, I would like to find 2 of the stock 20X9.5 to put on the front and go from there.

I am also wanting to go with the square setup using the 20x10 all around. Looking at running the DSW06's so I can run them year round.

size rim width oerall diameter revs per mile
275/35ZR20 9-11" 27.6" 753
285/30ZR20 9-11" 26.7" 778

The 275's are the same outside diameter as stock of 27.6 but the 285's are 26.7 that's almost an inch smaller overall diameter, will that cause issues with the ABS/ traction control and speedometer?

Did find BFGoodrich G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S - SIZE: 285/35ZR20 would be the correct overall diameter.

Anyone have opinion on either of these tires for year round use? It gets below 40 for 2-3 months and we do get snow, some years a little some a lot. Not planning on running it in the snow unless I get caught out in it so I can make it home.

This is my street setup. I like them. However, the 35 series tires will further limit the amount of negative camber as the top of the tire will rub on the spring perch with anything more than a -.9 (at least on my car w/ MRC).

I like the 20X10 +23 set up, now I can start working on getting it all together.
