Well.... hello TPW 9/11/2017.

So whose getting built? chime in!
I'm from the Boston area. Replacing my high-mileage BMW 3-series sedan. After a few test drives, decided to go with a Camaro. Going to be daily-driven. Will be my first American car!

2018 1LS 1LE, Garnet Red, Tech package.

Started putting together a list of things to buy, adds up quickly!
Hitch (I mountain bike a lot)
Trunk mat
winter mats
Tint
Clear-bra
Paint coating
Fitted windshield sun-visor
*maybe front bumper camera
wheel and tire insurance
extended warranty
winter wheels/tires
jack pads

The clear-bra and paint coatings are so pricey around here :(

Hi!

Getting my second 6th gen. Currently in a 2016 2SS with problems with a 2018 ss 1le on the way courtesy of GM. The dealer refused to give me their 2017 on the lot but I was okay with waiting for a 2018.

While I'm already in one... I am still super excited! Originally went with an A8 but I didn't realize how much I missed a m6. So this time around I went for the m6.

That list is a great idea!

Are you going to daily-drive your 1LE ? does it come with the Bose sound system? What color did you go with?

I was thinking about side skirts as well - just to get protection from curbs. Possibly the low-profile RPI ones.

Yea M6 is the only way for me! Such a different engagement with the car vs an auto.

Yeah it is my daily. Some of my coworkers think I'm crazy because of my 30 mi commute but a nice fun car was part of my master plan of saving $150k on a home at the edge of town. Now I get to work and home with a huge grin on my face every day. No bose on the 1le and I picked the hyper blue metallic. Are you going to daily yours?

I like how the side skirts look, not sure how much protection they will give though. I'm more worried about my daughter thinking she can step on them

The A8 is very nice and extremely responsive but it just isn't the same. My logic was that more sports cars are moving in that direction so I might as well learn how to drive one well. If you I have a chance to ride in an A8 get them to engage performance shift mode and it will blow your mind (holds car in power band).

I'm in a similar situation - about a 45minute commute each way to work. I'd rather enjoy the drive at least a little! My BMW has an excellent M6. I know Autos on sporty cars are much better these days - but like you said, it's just not the same level of engagement.

The RPI skirts don't seem to stick out as much as the other ZL1-type skirts - I have the same concern as you regarding my 2.5 yo daughter using them as a step.

Hey guys! I've had my order in for almost 2 months now! I'm awaiting a Garnet Red ZL1 1LE!! Hoping to get it towards the end of September or early October so I can get at least one track day in before winter. Early congrats to everyone on theirs!

I'm selling my C63 AMG coupe and replacing it with the ZL1 1LE. I've got the C63 on consignment, so hopefully it'll sell before the ZL1 gets here! I live an hour away from Virginia International Raceway, which is one of the best tracks on the east coast. Headed there this weekend for the IMSA race!

My lease ended on my 2014 cla45 amg now I have my 2018 camaro 2ss tpw for 9/11 at 3100 status. Going to be my daily driver and got plans to add aftermarket upgrades once it arrives. Order was placed 8/17/17

CLA45 is a beast of car, one of the most powerful 4 cylinders in the US, great handling to boot. My ZL1 1LE is still status 3000 But I"m hoping the wait is worth it!

Going to do the paint protection myself. Already tried the process on the black truck and it looks awesome...

This stuff is the truth!! I just had it applied to my new daily driver by Davis Mobile Detailing, 17 Civic Si, the reflectiveness is amazing, and washing a car sooo much easier. I plan on applying a ceramic coat to the ZL1 1LE as well. We used the CquartzUK, I also just got the reload and its is an amazing product!! You'll love it.
