Stereo Upgrade part III

I decided to drop 3500k on a stereo audio front speakers, pro install etc the probably was when I tested it it sounded horrible would break up upon turning sound up ,,, everything was off. So the installer a PRO shop said we will put your stock system back. walked away

I really miss my stereo in my C7 corvette I don't think it is matchable the 2ss doesn't even sound near the C7 IMO.

I just want a mild speaker upgrade and want to know what does the shop need to do to get the MYLINK system to not corrupt the signal? I think just a speaker swap could just get me 20% better sound just a bit louder and a bit more bass than it has .... IM not gonna play around with another 3500 system to have it fail and suck

advice?

I just had a complete system installed....dash door and rear side speakers...2 12 subs and 2 amps.....I agree..results can sound bad...I originally had them use a fix-86 to create a flat output from the bose amp signals but could never get the calibration to work correctly to get sound the way it should...it had a really weird tonal out of phase sound....i had them switch to a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 ..does same thing as fix but way more flexibility with assigning inputs to outputs ,summing channels and a 1/3 octave eq to really fine tune...i have hours playing aound with config to get eq and levels set correctly..finally got sound really close to where I think it should be..I think to get it sounding better would be find a shop with a rta unit to set eq using pink noise.. one nice thing with Rockford piece is thar it has remote for input levels (to lower chime sound down for daily driving), bass output level and also 4 ed presets on the remote

I thought you were fighting to get rid of your car because of bad detail job? So you dropped $3,500 more into it? I'm confused.

You spent $3500k (thirty-five-hundred-thousand) dollars on speakers?

Use the 3500 on a louder exhaust, so you don't even worry about your stereo.

First company to develop an interface to translate the MyLink data interface signal to analog RCA full range audio output to bypass the Bose amps gets my money.

I think you'd have better luck opening the bose amp and finding the demuxing chip that takes the audio from the MOST data stream and sends it to the amp, then cut those traces and solder on a wire with RCA connectors drilled into the bose amp casing.

Opening the amp is a good idea no one has tried yet.
I bet there are ST micro amps in there and the spec sheets on those are easy to find.

1k is 1000 (add 3 0's)

3500k would be 3,500,000 or 3.5 million.

If you're going to bust balls at least get it right

this is exactly what happened they couldn't dial it in... Im still confused how to get them to get it to sound good?

I don't have a 6th gen but how does the Bose system compare to the 5th gen Boston Acoustics?
