I bought my '17 2SS from Silver Star stock in Westlake and think they treated me good with the purchase. Quick, easy and did better then the Ad price of Rydell.

Now I need some servicing, in particular getting the car track ready per GM requirements, and they quoted me "about $800," including a brake fluid flush. That's crazy. I want the GM stamp of approval to keep warranty in tact, but at that price....

I had a similar issue with same Silver Star service department with my vette, where they wanted to charge me $1,600. and I went to another dealer who agreed it was a warranty issue and did the job free. The other dealer was Keys in Van Nuys, which is not the most convenient for me in the Camarillo area.

So, I come to this group to see who someone in the 805 is using and Happy with for service. Any suggestions?

I also use silverstar. I bought the 16 from paradise off the 101 but I don't like their service department. It's dirty and the employees aren't very friendly. They also never seem to know what they're talking about. You could try Simi Valley Chevrolet. I used them a few times for the RS, that was when they were William L Morris though. I liked the place better back then. For now though, I like Silver Star the best. GL

I decided not to use Silver Star, since they did not appear to understand what was required for track prepping the car, and at a cost of $800 I felt it was ridiculous quote.

I have a zo6 and was using Simi Valley, and have been relatively, so I decided to take the SS there. They perform the track process including brake fluid flush which was what I asked for and the fee was less than $200. The only issue is they did not track recommended motor oil. I will replace that with prior to the track day.

So I guess Simi Valley is the place for me.
