Side Effects of driving a 6th Gen

1-More respect on the road

Coming from behind, I feel like when the camaro appears in their rear view mirror they are more likely to get outta of the way. I didnt have that with the Camry. 6th gen has a pretty menacing front end.

2- Whale effect

Well, I call it the whale effect. Seen how whales sail together?
( Remember this scene in the Cast Away movie when in the middle of the sea and darkness of night this whale comes out of water and just looks at Tom Hanks and then sails away?)

I see other 6th gens pull behind or beside me and pause, kinda like looking at the outside of their cars from the inside.

Well, half serious....half for fun... what other effects can you add driving a 6th Gen?

lol... True on both man.

I see more tailgating by Accord V6's than ever. I do not know what Honda sells these guys, but every 40's something dude that buys a Honda with a V6 thinks its a Ferrari or something, and wants to benchmark it using my rear bumper. HA!

Howdie,

I must agree about the respect thingy. I have noticed that a number of cars slide out of the hammer lane in front of my at my approach compared to when I am out rolling in the small SUV. To my method of thinking, they just want the ticket bait in front of them, but still. I smile and wave.

Kindest,

Donner

Unless it's a Mustang, Challenger, or another Camaro which includes the 5th Gen. That's my experience anyway. Totally agree about the Hondas.

My side effects:
1. Always get excited when I turn her on
2. The urge to drive her...everywhere, whenever
3. The compulsion to spend money on her
She is my mistress

Big side effect > Once you drive a 455HP V8, you get addicted to the power and the SOUND. I could never go back to a V6, even a boosted one. That is going to be expensive over the years...

so far all iv seen are aholes on the road. riding my ass when im doing 65 all the time. iv been passed 3 times by dip sh*ts in pickups when i was doing 65 in a 55. 1 f*ck passed me on the right hand shoulder doing probably 15mpg throwing all the sand and crap all over my car when i and 2 others were waiting for a truck to turn left. A manure truck pulled out in front of me yesterday. iv only had the car out 3 times 500 miles.

Everyone wants to race me. From 19 year olds (no offense) in their Daddy's BMW to middle aged dad's in the Ford F-250. WTF?? I just wanna cruise. I have absolutely nothing to prove but people just wanna F with me.

Lol agree with OP..people get out of the way much more often than any of my previous cars.
2. People stare or try talking to me about the car or compliment the car.
3. People trying to race especially the ricer types...weirdly enough challengers and mustangs havent tried racing me yet.

This. ^^^

And I live in an area where there are A LOT of late model Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers, Chargers, Challengers, Chargers, Challengers. I listed those multiple times because lately they seem to be freakin' everywhere. A lot of people with company discount plans, so the cars cost a couple grand less than in other parts of the country. And so many of them, even WITHOUT a Hemi badge, try to step up to the plate.

I value having my license to much to spank all of them, but every now and then.....

Police drive Chargers, here too. And a lot of them are unmarked. Requires paying attention anytime your are next to a black, white, or silver Charger.

On my commute I see 5-6 Mustangs, rarely do I see a 6th gen.

In my area, it's the Prius and Hyundai drivers that are so damn annoying.
