UPDATE:APEX PS-7 (19x10.5 +22 & 19X11 +25 ) - Test Fitted 18x10.5" +22 wheels

UPS guy brought the wheels that I've ordered recently. Trofeo R tires which I've recently got from a forum member has also arrived yesterday.
At this point, I am only missing the TMPS sensors that is in the mail and the ..umm..car itself It should be here early next week .. the wait is killing :/

Wheels look even nicer in person and look like they're good quality wheels (rolled lips, flow forged, BBK friendly ..etc). I cannot really believe how inexpensive these wheels are for what they offer

I am hoping that this setup won't give me any clearance issues at stock height and w/ OEM suspension. If my calculations are right, I should be just fine since the overall height is about an inch shorter than the OEMs.

see below for the wheels specs :

19X10.5" ET22 APEX PS-7 WHEEL (front)
19X11" ET25 APEX PS-7 WHEEL (rear)

UPDATE with INDEX for important information:

Factory camber -1.2 and 3mm fitment for those who want to go with camber plates:
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=47

Track alignment, grinding and 5mm spacer for those who don't want to get camber plates

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=80

18" fitment with track alignment (-3.0 degree) and 8mm spacers .. no camber plates
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=102

I cannot wait to test fit these wheels and have them wrapped with the Trofeo Rs (305/30/19 all around). After this set, I would like to try 305/30/19 Front - 325/30/19 Rear NT01 tires if the rears don't stick out as much or can be tucked in with some fender flares. Compared to OEM wheels these should move them further away about 18mm (43mm vs 25mm offset). I may or may not be able to add 10 mm on each side by going wider tires.

I will have them mounted and balanced with TPMS sensors and post more pictures on the car when the car arrives here.

Btw, any suggestions on the lug nuts to be used with both OEM and aftermarket wheels?

See below pictures - excuse the poor iPhone images

(notice anything missing in this picture? hint : it's blue :P )

Will you document actual wheel and tire weights prior to installation?

Thanks!

Yes, I will According to Apex; front and rears weigh 24.6 lbs and 24.7 lbs respectively. If that holds true:

I believe you weighed the OEM tire&wheel setup and posted here:

So, I should be saving about 6.1 lbs from front. (58.7 lbs total weight front vs 52.6 lbs new setup)

and 7.8 lbs on rear wheel & tire (60.5 lbs vs 52.7 lbs)

Total of 27.8 lbs of reduction in rotational mass !! That's HUGE, IMO ..

I've looked but couldn't find a Girodisc rotors that I can fit on our cars. Girodics says that they only have a size for 355mm(13.9 inch) for Gen 5 Camaro. It's really bad because my friend who replaced his C7 Z06 OEM rotors with them ended up saving 6 lbs in the rear and 2 lbs up front. If I could save a few more pounds on rotational mass it would completely feel like a different car on track days

You look into Baer brakes, DBA, Wilwood etc? Personally Ive never heard of Girodisc, whats their claim to fame/advantage?

I looked at the DBA 5000s but they are a bit pricier than the Girodisc or OEM slotted rotors . I personally would never use any Wilwood parts on my car ( so many reported issues). I heard the Baer brakes when I had my BRZ but no experience with them. See below for the OEM slotted rotors that I was referring to. Searched but couldn't find the part numbers. I will need to call the dealership :

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oe-gm/23245471

I personally only have experience with 2 piece Stoptech rotors and didn't use Girodiscs myself but I know they're reputable. It looks like Tirerack carries the Stoptech rotors for CTS-V and ATS-V sizes but they're very expensive ($1300 vs ~$800-900)

Cost of the replacement rings are also not that bad :

http://www.girodisc.com/Rotors-_c_1170.html

Once I get the car I will also weigh the OEM rotors and see if I can find lighter alternatives without sacrificing longevity. The OEM rotors are specified as "heavy duty" IIRC

Great thread already, lots of info and pics, Thanks! Will you use a set of OEM tire pressure monitors also? I am considering some APEX wheels for my Gen 5 1LE. Curious if the sensors fit the wheels.

I am on the feeler stage of APEX's group buy of the 19x11 ET44 ARC-8/EC-7. I looked at going with a square 11" wheel in ET25, but if I trade up to a Gen 6 1LE, going with a 10.5 "front, 11"rear like yours may be a better setup, especially with an ET44 at the rear.

Edit: I see you are using the tire sensors!

So what if the Stock Forged Wheels perform better than what you replace it with?

Spending alot of money.....just because.?

Did you happen to talk to Apex about fitment?

I spoke with them about these sizes in January and they were not optimistic about clearance.

Hope you have good luck.

Was going to suggest AP Racing as well, but just looked at their site and found no GM compliant components.

I've talked to them, concerning anything Camaro, they say buy at your own risk because they have not done their homework. Looks like the OP will have to use a spacer at the front, about 12mm or so, depending on what camber he is running. But I saw a pic here the other day of the Gen 6 front strut and with a smaller diameter setup, it may provide additional clearnce. Yes, the rears will stick out, but it should not cause any clearance issues.

The bolt pattern is not quite exactly the same, they told me to always check wheel torque.
