LGX 3.6L GMPP Intakes Now Available
These intakes have been rigorously tested to GM standards and will not void your warranty. Kit includes a high efficiency dry-air filter and accepts the factory PCV connections and sound enhancer.
LGX Intake reduces air intake restriction by up to 15% at peak airflow (240 grams/second). This Kit will Come with a Calibration code that you must have your GM dealer flash your ECM in order to have the Tune uploaded to your car. This code will forever be attached to your VIN # just in case you need to have your ECM re-flashed down the road. We highly suggest that you have the dealer install the intake since they will need to charge you in order to re-flash the ECM, it will be cheaper to have them do the complete install rather than you install it yourself and then take the car to the dealer just to have them re-flash it. The installation instructions with the Intake will contain the calibration code so DON'T THROW THIS AWAY!!! NOT LEGAL TO SELL OR INSTALL ON VEHICLES REGISTERED IN CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS STATES OR CANADA Click Here for installation instructions Here is our Sponsored Post in the Classified Section |

I get the not legal for use on public roads in california....but what's the deal with the "not legal to sell" disclaimer i've seen here and in some other places.
In short. If someone from california (or one of the dozen other states with the same regulations) tries to buy this are they gonna get rejected during the order process before things are charged and such or is it something that will get caught during shipping or should we be putting air quotes around this disclaimer? |

I would be calling you to let you know that GM will be shaking a finger at me and I just want you to know that before I ship it out =P |

Nice. I'm sure the dealer will be legally obligated to not install it if the car is registered in one of those states.
I'd be very interested to see what the calibration actually changes since that would probably make customizing my aftermarket tune go much faster I just can't go back to stock. |

Just note. Oregon is a CARB state too. Your dealer might make a fuss for the ECM flash.
When it comes to emissions rules / regulations, if your car is registered in any of the following states it might as well be registered in California. Arizona Connecticut Maine Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey New Mexico New York Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island Vermont Washington District of Columbia |

No , but I'll take a guess at it: the flash has got to be less than an hour, and dealers round up any labor less than an hour to an hour, so it's their labor rate for an hour. Plus tack on the average dealer crap, I'll bet $100- $150 bucks......

For an added 15 HP I would do it. Less than that would not be worth it. I wonder if it enhances gas mileage as well.
