Just did a Muffler Delete on my SS, maybe Im crazy but....
I feel like my 2010 Camaro SS was louder when I first did the same modification. Let me first say that my 2010 SS was incredibly loud when I was done modding. It was Cammed, LT Headers, No cats or mufflers. I think the only way it could be louder was open headers. Maybe that setup is affecting my opinion.
Anyone else feel the same about the 2016 being quieter with the muffler delete? It's either that or the cabin does an incredible job of dampening the outside exhaust note so I cant hear it properly. Wish someone around me new how to drive stick so i could hear it from the outside lol |

likely not reflecting sound waves toward the cabin as a baffled muffler would.

I know on my Mustang it did. I had to get some sort of delete that I had to plug in between my O2 sensor and wiring harness under the car. Wasn't hard, but required buying a $20 part.

The rear two are unmonitored I believe. The front two are the monitored cats.

It seems to me that the tighter more upholstered cabin on the Gen6 would absorb more sound than the Gen5 did. I wouldn't expect that big a difference between the two with a Muffler Delete. My guess is that you just can't hear it.
Ford Cheats and actually pipes exhaust sound through the stereo and puts a resonator close to the cabin so you can hear the exhaust more. |

there needs to be at least 12 to 18 inches of pipe after the last O2 sensor to stop it from triggering the cel

The answer is no, you could delete the secondary cat with no CEL, I did it a month-and-a-half ago and love it,,,,,,,and the sound!!!

So confirmed if you delete the secondary cats, via new cat back exhausts, you will not get a CEL??? This is good information to know.
