My '16 2SS just got delivered!

I have been on the fence about buying a '16 2SS since they came out but with the recent bonus tag 20% (or more) promotion, I decided to buy one. There was 3 options I had to have: Summit White with Adrenaline Red and automatic transmission. I asked my local Chevy salesguy I deal with if he would be willing to locate a '16 2SS for me, do the dealer trade and then give me the bonus tag. He said he would do that and he started looking. He found an exact match at Fred Beans Chevrolet (320 miles from him). I went online, looked at the pictures on the dealers website and I told him I would call him in the morning. The car was marked on the dealers website at $35,444 including the Bonus Tag. The next morning, I went to show my wife the car I was going to buy and the car was marked to $29,444!! I called my salesguy, told him to look at the dealers website and get me the car ASAP at that price. He couldn't believe the price, grabbed his sales manager and they said that I would have to buy the car from Fred Beans at that price. So I called Fred Beans, inquired about the car and the salesguy that worked there didn't believe the price. He put me on hold, came back and said that the sales manager marked down this car and another truck with additional money off because they had been in their inventory for a long time. There was no catch, no bs--the selling price was $29,444. Needless to say, I put a deposit immediately on the car and bought it. I also got them to put black bowties on the car. The car is brand new, had 62 miles on the odometer and I had it transported right to my doorstep. I have already ordered the following for it:

GM Rear Darkened Tailights
Cargo Net
Cargo Mat
GM Front & Rear mats with Red Binding & Performance Logo
Battery Charger
Red Interior Trim Knee Pads
Pedal Covers
Rear Fascia for NPP Exhaust
Corsa Xtreme Axle Back
K&N Drop In Air Filter
Center Caps with red SS logo
M228 Wheels in Gloss Black (20x9/20x10)
Windows tinted
Paint Protection Film on the major areas of the car
Calipers powdercoated red by TPH Coatings

I can't wait to get everything done to it!! I'll post some pics when she is all done!!

Sweet !! Looks pretty good in white. I had a white 69 resto mod with red SS stripes you might want to add that to go with the interior - would look killer !!

I am glad for you but the sad fact is that when this kind of discounting takes place it just cheapens the whole car. Just 6 months ago the market was going on and on how much better this car is in performance, tech, ride quality, interior, etc. and now they are basically giving them away and they now cost less than Gen 5 Camaros were selling for.

I understand the car market is down and GM is probably not selling as many Camaros as they hoped but the market must be pretty bad if they have to discount a new 2SS Camaro at 35% off. Think about that, I think Camaros get bigger discounts than trucks now.

Congrats man...that has got to be the deal of the century. I thought the 1SS that went for 29K before was a steal.

Unbelievable.

I paid supplier pricing on my 1SS last year (no regrets!) but I still paid thousands more than you. I knew eventually there would be deals on leftover models, but these kinds of prices are damn near ridiculous. I don't think I could recommend anyone buy a Camaro any longer until the end of the model year, UNLESS they just simply have to have a very specific configuration and want to order.
