Do they sound right?

I'm an older gentleman from the muscle car era. V8's sound good, I never even cared for Viper or Grand National noise. But I do like all kinds of motorcycle, F1 and sports car sounds. Who can figure? I've just bought a 2013 convertible LFX, 2LT, MT, Hot Wheels. On the way from FL.
How's it going to sound if I put a Borla or similar on it?

Hey David, I'm from the 60s too ...1st muscle car was new '66 GTO I've listened to A LOT of video clips of Camaro exhausts and IMO this setup is what a 60s big block muscle car sounds like. You'll need more than just exhaust mods to get this sound...

cai, kooks headers and high flow cat ,flowmaster american thunder full3" cat back exhaust comp cam big blower cam

Or you could go cheaper. Here's my car ...just cai, shorty headers and cutouts. Since then
I added HF cats and it sounds even better. Total cost ~ $2k

No cam ...yet The car in that other video besides having a cam had LT hdrs AND had a 3" cat back exhuast ...IMO the 3" pipes is what enhances the other mods and really adds the extra resonance to make it sound like a big block exhaust.

Thanks for the replies and especially the video. I had a G37S with a Borla muffler that had a similar, sweet note. I probably save my pennies and give one a try.

If it's an LFX, you're not going to get it to sound the way you want it to aside from idle. The V6s can idle....tolerably. Once you get on it, it's not going to sound "right."

I miss the old sounds.

I grew up spending my weekends at Moroso Motor Sports Park every weekend from fall to spring. Luv the old big blocks with a cam that you could hear the valves open and close.

Headers, high flow cats and 3 1/2" straight exhaust and my 94 LT1 sounded like that.

LS motors changed the firing order. Now they sound like European V8s or motorboats. Except for a heads and cammed LS3 with NPP... I've never heard anything similar since.
