Mounted 22 X 10.5 all the way around! (UPDATED WITH PICS) First Page!!

After seeing Lashway's black 6th Gen's SS on 22's and lowered, I knew that was my direction. So I took advantage of XO's Miami discontinuation sale through my man Mike at Best Wheel Deals! 4th time Mike and I are linking up!! Mike's idea and vision is a 22 X 10.5 all the way around so the concave will be squared! Tires - I'm gonna do a 285 up front and 305 in the rear! I plan to lower it an inch. I'm excited and nervous at the same time! Wheels will be here next week! My second set of Miami's. Will post pics when set up is complete!

The wheel is just a simple 5 star concave. It's the XO Miami. I ran that same wheel in black on my 5th Gen SS. The tires I bought on my own. They are called the Delinte D7. Pics of both are below:

Congrats.

285/25/22 is a good match to the stock diameter, but 285/30/22 won't fit with a 1" drop in the front.

Mike took care of me for my 5th Gen with 22" ROHANA's, RC10's. Now that I have a 6th I'm curious what I can do with this cat. Personally, if I can't get a chrome wheel, something concave with a lip I won't be changing.

Can't wait to see your configuration when done.

Thanks!! That's why I did a 285/25/22 up front hoping it would work instead of a 30..what about the 305/25/22 in the rear? Maybe I will need a half inch drop..

Thanks!! Check out this pic below with 22 X 10.5 all the wall around. A lot can be done with the 6th Gen

That's nice, real nice! Well I'll need Mike to work his magic for me one more time. I methodically want to take my time and get this right.
Not looking to rush into this, so he's got about 8 months to find me a nice chrome wheel with a lip, and a setup where I'm nicely tucked as was my fifth gen, for this blue velvet metallic.

Have you lowered your car yet?

With 22's you may possibly run 25 series tires all around with a .75" drop. With a 1" drop, I'm not sure you can fit 22's even on 25 series tires. But hey, you may never know!

Once you mount the rim/tires on, you'll how much clearance you have. Can't wait to see pics!

I haven't lowered yet. Going to wait until everything is mounted. Lashway's SS is running 22's with Phastek springs. Isn't that drop 1.5? Granted Lashway's are 22 X 9 upfront with a 255 or 265/30 tire.. And they are running a 22 X 10.5 in the rear with a 295/25 tire. So if they can get by on 1.5 drop, maybe I can get by with an inch?

Ahh got ya.. Well if someone already has the setup then it can work! I hope so.

I have BMR springs 1" drop springs.. I can only fit one finger between the tire and fender on my stock rims/tires.

Once you mount the rim/tires, you'll see how much clearance you have and go on from there.

How do you like the BMR springs?

Nice color choice!! A silver wheel will set that blue velvet off!!
