Little late to the party, but glad they're here nonetheless!

How do they heat cycle, grip, and last relative to NT01 for road course use? Anyone used both? I have plenty of time for someone else to be a guinea pig since I'm on the wrong side of the planet for another sandbox adventure.

Bridgestone/Firestone sponsored the last track day I was at and had reps there talking about this tire. I was told they grip better than the GY G2's and you don't need to get them hot first. I'm skeptical. Who's gonna be our guinea pig and track them first?

I'm on a sandbox vacation myself.

I'll vouch for their autocross use. They're the tire to have right now for 200 TW classes and do heat up pretty quick.

However, I have heard on other cars on the road course they have a tendency to fall off sooner. Depending on the philosophy of use that might be alright.

I'd be willing to test them on my next track day this month or in September if someone's willing to send me a set.

LOL oh we're doing that? OK I have a track day coming up Oct 1 and 2 at Watkins Glen I'll test a free set too. Tire rack? Anyone? LOL

The GY stock G2's are so confidence inspiring and sticky when hot I'm hesitant to try a different tire for hundreds of dollars each only to find it's not as good.

The RE71R's are the fastest 200 TW tire and should be about 1.5-2 seconds faster than per lap than the Goodyear G2's. The Hankook Rs3v2's are about .5-.75 seconds faster than the Goodyears on my car and other s who have run the Hankooks then went 1+ seconds faster on the Re71R's.

I take it you run the Re71R's? Or are you running slicks now? Thanks for the input.

I am running the RS3v2's. I will switch the Re71's now that they are available in 20 inch sizes (they are stickier, but will obviously wear faster, too). I agree with you, the Goodyears are pretty sticky and have a great feel to them. I had to change my alignment/tire pressures when I went from Goodyears to Rs3v2 which are a little quicker, but I prefer the feel of the Goodyears.
I am waiting to see when the Goodyear Supercar 3 that will be on the 2017 1LE comes out. The new 1LE almost matched Z28 times at Laguna Seca, I assume some of that extra speed is from the Supercar 3 tires.
