The new 1LE makes a short appearance in this video around the 0:45 mark. Looks like GM also has the 5th Gen Z/28, 6th Gen ZL1, and the new Z/28 out there testing. I wonder if this means official lap times are coming?

That camo is such a PITA to get off, usually they just leave it on. There are 4 year old cars around that still have camo on. They still use the cars for dev/val after release.

I would assume that they wouldn't go through the trouble of removing the Camo if this was one of the original test cars. They may just install the final factory spec setup and go test. I think the red ZL1 was probably one of the cars that was giving rides at the ZL1 reveal. So it had Camo removed for that event.

Was just thinking the same thing. I've all but written off the Black SS 1LE as an SS show car with 1LE wheel, interior, and exterior treatments. Something about it always looked off. What they are track testing is what we will get hopefully. HAHA!

I would expect at the least that its there to be a benchmark for the new ZL1 and Z/28. I would LOVE to know lap times for all of them! 5th gen Z/28, 1LE, ZL1, and Z/28!

Off topic here, but does anyone know if GM did any Nurburgring testing on the 5th gen 1LE? I never heard of any out there.

I still think its noticeable lower. even after corner exit, granted its still under some load from accelerating down the short straight.
