2016 Supercharged Mustang for $39,995

http://www.lebanonford.com/New-2016-...OH/vd/34137340

Im a camaro guy myself but was wondering if anyone has seen this? This dealership is close to where i live and is trying to build a fan base. Pretty tempting even for a ford but i would still rather have a new camaro

There's one in Houston doing the same thing. Joe Myers. It's legit. Lots of car for the money for sure.

700+ horsepower with factory warranty for $40k is not a bad deal at all.

I've had mustangs corvettes and now this camaro. I'm an auto enthusiast not a brand loyal person. Hard to argue it's a hell of a deal

Can't even get 700 hp out or our cars without some major work.....the pistons are known to come apart upwards of 650 and they run out of fuel.

2016 Supercharged Mustang for $39,995

Not that I'm interested in this, but it's a pretty good deal. Other than the supercharger, the full Roush package is just wheels, stick on body pieces, decals, and a couple of suspension items. Get the GT with the performance pack for $43,000ish, spend $1,500 on the springs, dampers, and sway bars that you want, and you have a pretty solid handling 730hp car with a warranty. The only thing I'd worry about is all the extra torque shredding that POS MT82 transmission. I guess the warranty would help you on that for a while.

There's a small dealer near me that's offering this same thing with the 670hp stage one package starting at about $37,000, which is the sticker price for a base 1SS. It's something to think about if you really just want straight line speed.

I am a fan of both the S550 and the 6th Gen Camaro.

I am very neutral when comparing them. I see qualities in each platform that I personally prefer. Performance wise, the new Camaro easily out performs the S550 though (good work GM!)

That said, this deal that these dealers are offering is an absolute steal.

In base form, the S550 is not your typical Mustang of the past - even the base is a very nice car. Add over 200hp to it, with a full warranty, and that $39K price is unreal to be honest.

Now, let's hope GM and it's partners can do something similar. May be the right time for me to jump on the 6th Gen. Woot!

This was posted on that jalopy website, not sure if i am allowed to post a link, but you know the site, they say you can actually get it cheaper if you go about it a little differently, do a search and read it. if you are really interested should put things in perspective

but without the rest of the car being upgraded as needed to accommodate that extra power, I predict major car troubles... still pass. you're just asking for driveline damage getting that car. so its really not as much of a deal as you may think. its a good start, though.

as for all the driveline upgrades, you are looking at a couple thousand there that wont be included in the warranty. not worth the risk imo.

Just a small point but the drivetrain warranty is provided by a third party, not the factory, the factory drivetrain warranty goes out the window with the blower. I'd certainly research that outfit and make sure the warranty was worth more than the paper it was printed on before I bought in, lots of em aren't.

I don't believe there is a warranty with the stage 2 setup with 727hp. The 670hp stage 1 package includes warranty though.

Shouldn't have any issues with drivetrain, Coyote motors love boost and especially the 6R80 auto transmission is stout. Can't really speak on the Mt82 since it's crap stock.

The rousch dealer up near me in Charlotte is selling stage three's for that price. Very tempting to trade in my 1le. But in all honesty it's just a gt with a blower. Still very tempting.

Ford does NOT warrant the car, the supercharger voids the warranty. Roush offers a third party warranty for $1k. There is no specialty listing for a Roush Mustang, when you trade it in it is just a GT, nothing more. Just some things to think about before you buy one. I researched this endlessly before I bought my GT in 2015.
