2012 V M^6 Won't go into any gear - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi folks,

So I bought the car brand new and as of now has 30k on it. Well about a year ago I started to get some rattling when i engaged the clutch. Narrowed it down to it being the throw out bearing.

Well one day on my way home I ended up stalling an heard a pretty bad noise. I went home and parked it for a few months since I had no need to drive it and had other cars.

Fast forward to 2 months later, I went and started the car. I was moving to FL from DC the next day so I was going to take it to get an oil change.

Now, the car wont go into ANY gear. I turns on and all but it just wont go into any gear. Anyone have a clue as to what it could be?

EDIT: Not sure what happened to the title, but it's supposed to read "2012 V6 M6*"

When you push the clutch in does it feel like you're getting some resistance like it's actually disengaging

yes, feels normal. Just feels like im locked out of every gear once the car is on. I always leave it in neutral. Also, I've been hesitant to start it in any gear.

With the car off and you push the clutch in can you get it into a gear any gear if you do then maybe it's an electronic problem I don't know the v6 all that well

yes, i'm able to put it in gear when its off

pump the pedal several times then hold the clutch pedal to the floor and then try to get it into gear

Looks like its time to go ahead and pull the trans. 99.9% chance you're going to have to replace something in there.

5ohcamaro, you might try this:
With the engine off, put the transmission in first, start the car and try to drive around.
Pay close attention to any abnormal vibrations or pulsing in the clutch pedal as you shift gears.
