The only way is just manually turn the stalk down to the on/off switch, the one with the circle with the line on top. That will manually turn them off and it will not automatically change on or off, but the next time you start the car it will reset...unfortunately no permanent way to shut off.

Why in the world do you not want your headlights to come on automatically when it is dark?

I remember in my 4th gen you could disable it by removing the daylight sensor in the dash and looping a wire through the connector. Wonder if there is a similar setup on the 6th gen.

Might be a dumb question, but I'm assuming that the front bumper horizontal(SS)/vertical(RS) as well as the LED portion of the lower headlamp al act as DRLs and I don't have to manually turn them all on if I want them on during the day?

In my 2010, if I wanted the LED rings to be on, I had to turn off the automatic stuff, and then turn the switch to the parking light setting, or whatever it was called. I did it every since time I drove the car (unless it was dark)...it became a habit.

I don't understand why this is an issue. If it's dark outside then the headlights will stay on. If it's day out then they'll shut off as soon as you pull out of the garage. Why do you need to switch them off in the garage?

Is not an issue, but i just want to disable the automatic headlamp system completely not like now when it reset every time you restart the engine!

Well said.

Evidently there is no way to permanently disable this. Oh well.

There is no way to permanently disable it, the automatic headlights are a function of the BCM module. Either adjust the headlight stalk at each start up of get used to how the lights function.
