Catch Can BELIEVER

Went on a 450 mile round trip road trip this weekend.
Had the Catch can on for less than a week before I left and I drive a company vehicle for work so miles accumulated during the week are negligible.
This is what I found today.
All I can say is "I BELIEVE!!"

Are there different types of catch cans ? Is one manufacturer better than another?

After seeing the proof in my hand, I can't believe someone wouldn't spend the $150 to get the Elite Catch Can.
I had 10k on my odometer when I put it on. ( Bought the car with 8800)
If this is just 450 miles I shudder to what went into my intake when the car put over 20 times that mileage on it!
Pull the damn trigger!
BEFORE YOU DO ANY OTHER MOD...
I'll have to have my mechanic do an intake cleanse to get all the accumulated s#!t out of it..
Thanks Sanjay for pushing so hard for us all to get these..
I feel like an Elite Catch Can evangelist now!!!

Yeah I know. I'm sure it works great but I don't think that not having one will destroy the car. I think it would take an insane amount of time and miles for it to get gunked up to the point of damage. I bought mine new and don't really plan on keeping it past 2 years. I'm not saying it doesn't work or that ill never get one. My money is just flowing every other direction right now.

Well, Chevrolet thought it was important enough to add it to the 2016 models.
Maybe, just maybe, they feel it's important enough that it might cause an issue on their power train warranty..
Food for thought

What is IIRC? Like I say, im still up in the air about it and I really only drive it on the weekends. Well, once I get my work car back again. I am in no way saying it doesn't help. I put well over 200,000 on my Mazda 6 and it still runs great. I guess the only difference is the DI which makes me ponder getting a catch can. (Even though I don't really know how that affects anything) That's just what someone on here told me.

True enough!! Are they sticking with the LFX engine? I haven't read too much about the gen 6 yet.

My mechanic is also a close personal friend.
His knowledge base is awesome.
He was explaining to me about how DI works and how important it is to run injector cleaner through it every month or so. (Told me to stop by and pick some up on a monthly basis)
He also told me a catch can was CRITICAL with this engine.
I trust this guy with my life and he would never steer me wrong.
If he says I need it, it happens....

I bought my car to keep for a long time, the next person will have to handle the buildup in a DI motor. My CC caught 7 ounces in 5,018 miles of DD driving.

I understand what your saying and that's a reason I try not to buy used. I got a V6 now because I don't plan on keeping it long. With 10 million Camaros on the road without catch cans I don't really think im screwing the next guy to get it. Itll be as factory as the day I picked it up with 17 miles on it.
