Any suggestions or opinions on what type of oil and filters?

I feel like that was a joke about the 7/11 oil (I hope). I know a lot of people don't think royal purple is worth it but didn't know if there was better technology I might be missing out on.

I hope so too, but ya never know.

I use Mobil 1 in the engines of all of our stuff except the dirt bikes, they get amsoil. Filters are usually M1 or Delco if M1's aren't available. Transmissions, transfer cases and diff's are all running Amsoil though, I've considered switching everything to amsoil, I do like their stuff but the lack of local dealers keeps me buying M1, shipping gets expensive.

Royal Purple is good stuff for sure! I have no affiliation with any oil company, but read up on 3rd party oil testing and am sold on Amsoil. Most synthetic oils will do a good job.

Ok I appreciate the input, a few years ago someone told me a story about a engine rebuild that only ran castrol and had a lot gummed up junk. Not sure if there was any truth to it.

Nothing wrong with what it came with Mobil 1 and Walmart usually has good pricing on the 5qt jugs like 24$. I use Wix Filters for all my vehicles.

I run Mobile 1 full synthetic and use an AC Delco PF48 filter.
