White calipers

Anyone have calipers painted white? Curious as to how much harder than any other color it will be to keep them clean.

I would think they would look gray and dirty very quickly, even with quality pads, but I could be wrong. Personally I don't think they will stay looking a nice clean white long at all.

I think painted properly, you wont have an issue. I have a coworker who had his BMW's calipers painted white. They looked awesome. They were actually painted with glow in the dark paint, but looked white during the day and a slight, slight glow at night. didnt look as silly as you're probably thinking...haha.

Those epoxy paints are extremely durable and should not stain at all. But brake dust will obviously build up and be noticeable much quicker. Not sure i'd do it on a daily driver, but a summer...sure.

Well I already have 3 coats of white on 2 of my calipers. And mine isn't a DD necessarily, but it gets drove almost every day for fun during summer.

The key would be to get the calipers as smooth as possible, less places for dirt to lodge and take away from the white. I would wet sand in-between coats....

I think also putting a few coats of clear over the paint would make it look better and easier to clean.

That's what they said about my white wheels!!

OP: If you stay on top of cleaning your car and use a quality set of low dust pads they should stay looking good!

I would use Akebono pads as they're known for being really low dust

I painted mine white, but unfortunately they lasted 2 weeks and looked terrible. I was running the stock pads. U have to clean them every day. I went the powdercoat route with a different color.

The question is, what did u use to paint? And did u apply clearcoat layers?
