I am not liking the apparently significant reduction in height. I still wonder how it will be to fit in with a sunroof, although I think I heard the seats may be a bit lower. We'll see, as soon as one hits my dealer's lot.

I had heard it would be less than one inch narrower, and less than two inches shorter (from front to back). I actually love the width of the 5th Gen's, but this is so close it still will have that look that I like. I don't mind it being lower (from top to bottom), but I too have the concerns about head room. I've heard about the seats dropping even lower than the 5th Gen's did, and I really don't see how the interior "cabin" couldn't have been reconstructed to give just as much head room, or even more, despite lowering the overall height. Just like everyone else, we'll have to see how it goes.

Wow the height reduction, not liking that. Hope the seats are adjusted. Plus the loss of trunk.

Thanks. I've been awaiting and overlay and though I was just on their site, I missed it. My suspicion is, the new Camaro will have even more head room than the current and perhaps another 1/2" or so leg room too, up front.
I expect the rear to be ... something to look at, but little else. Small children in car seats should be fine, but anyone over 5 may feel cramped.

This is the first I am hearing this, is there going to be NO Trunk, or Less Trunk than the 5th Gen's had? I just wish they would create a larger opening to the Trunk, but I have no idea what they're going to do now.

Also, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like the opening has (somehow) shrunk compared to the 5th gen. It might just be the way the pictures were though and it could be about the same size or maybe even larger. The opening is the same approximate shape as the 5th gen trunk, a kinda trapazoid for the top part, plus the bit that sits between the tail lights.

Definitely no golf clubs going in that trunk! :(
I think I read that the seats sit lower to the floor now? If that is true, hopefully that will make up for the loss of head room. I'd say there is definitely no way I can fit comfortably in a 6th gen with a sunroof though, if that's even an option. Doesn't really matter, I hate the sunroof in my 5th gen anyway. |

BITE YOUR TONGUE! It's only an inch or so narrower but looks like the dip where you would be putting them in is a little deeper. That is the part that causes me problems fitting my clubs in. I don't know though.
As with my first Gen5, I will bring my clubs to the dealer when checking out the Gen6.
