SLP SC install

So close.

Still need to:
-Fill with coolant
-Install wideband
-tune
-install 10 ounce clutch fluid reservoir

My goal is a really fun daily driver. I used to drive it as long as there was no snow not he ground, but I may change it to no salt. I have michelin AS3s sitting in the garage, which are going on as soon as car is tuned. Not sure when that will happen weather in Maryland could be better.

That is going to be a fun car for sure. The salt on the roads is crazy now.
It destroyed the clearcoat on my trucks wheels last winter. Nice set-up!

Thanks guys! I just used my new airlift vacuum filler and started the car. It idled and then I had to cut it off because it was sucking fumes in house. Running rich and no cats= lots of fumes!

Oh yeah, running Jannety base tune until I can do some data logging. Intune and wide band data logging as soon as the weather is somewhat decent.

Here the link for anyone interested in airlift, it makes life much easier: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

-No need to take bumper off
-Hoses are precut and coolant lines are preformed
-No need to pin cranks if using stock pulley (belt will slip before any damage can be done, theoretically)
-Intake manifold and supercharger are separate, meaning no heavy lifting across engine bay (I did the entire install by myself)
-only need to get under car two or three times
-hardest part is getting the water pump in but still not all that difficult just a little tedious
-wiring is all plug and play (need to crimp one wire to tap switched power source in main fusebox under the hood)

Don't know much about supercharger brands etc.

Is slp the name of a brand or a type of supercharger.

I hear, Maggie, whipple, etc. Is the SLP a brand like them, do they all make their own?

I also hear the name Eaton and it seems they make superchargers for others.

Confused

Jim

The SLP is the name brand that uses an Eaton tvs2300 to build their supercharger. A maggie also uses the same rotor packs in their superchargers. The whipple is a screw type instead of a roots or blower type. Gm also uses eaton internals in their supercharged cars.

Also, update: I was running out of fuel pressure and running lean at wot throttle. I was advised by Ted to go with a BAP, but instead, I came to my senses (not that it wasn't sound advice). I am changing the pulley to a 3.6 and going with a squash return style dual pump. In a year or so who knows...

Time to drop the tank and have some more fun working on the car!
