http://wannagofast.com/ I went to the last GA event. They have them in several locations around the country (including Ocala, FL). Pretty fun way to spend a day or two.

Saw that in another thread. I believe it was at last weekend's Texas Mile event. Beat the top Mustang record, too.

Mike, (Snappy) is the owner driver of the convertible, Sam Miller is the builder tuner and yes they did hit just over 225 this past weekend.
I'm also moving this thread to the proper sub forum...

As far as I know here's the list, Snappy just went 225, Robert (SSE 4 2SS) has been right around 210 mph built by Henderson Performance, Henderson has another yellow & black 5th gen that has went around 205 also, , me (mylft, Josh Starkweather) ADM built has been 201.9 which is the ZL1 record, Jess Rayo ADM built ZL1 just went 200 mph, Danny ADM 1LE built just went 200 mph. Those are the only 5th gens I'm aware of. We have a 5th gen in California (Nacho Bernal) that just went 185 in the 1/2 which puts him on pace to go 220+mph in the 1 mile.

Thank you and thank you. Now does "snappy" have a build thread or does anyone have any links to info about the car?

I really don't know much about these top speed long runs, but they're beginning to interest me more and more.

It's hard to compare an all wheel drive car to a two wheel drive car... Traction is a bugger at all times with the power levels it takes to go this fast... Snappy has been 225, Chris Hainey has been 206, I've been 203, Josh and Patrick and Danny have gone over 200 as well... I've actually been 217 at the 3/4 mile but couldn't finish the pass. so, until I make a full mile pull at those speeds, my fastest official pass is 203.4 .
