Anyone ever use a 4 channel amp to power two subs?

I will be doing a sub install some time early next year and was looking at mono subs, this past spring I bought a 4 channel amp that I had installed briefly only to discover it was causing static on the FM radio stations. trouble shot it for a while but ended up switching to an Alpine PDR f50 4 channel amp put the previous amp on some boards trying to move it but still have it setting around. got to looking at the box and it says you can bridge it to run dual subs. was thinking maybe it would not have the same effect as previously since it will not be hooked directly to the HU and wired differently, just curious if anyone has done a 4 channel in this way and if there are any negatives to doing so? was thinking of maybe doing some kind of foil shield or some kind of filters for the wires if it would help.

******forgot to mention, the amp is a PPI 900.4 , making 450 W per bridge at 4 Ohm.

Dump the amp.

If it is creating static on FM radio stations, it is probably a poorly designed class D amp. This design defect cannot be cured by using a shield or noise filters.

For video surround sound use, a 1000 watt self-powered 8" sub from Velodyne is all a good size living room needs. Why would you need more than 1 sub in the small confines of a Camaro?

It will work fine for a sub amp.Low notes won't reproduce the higher noise you herd.
