30K miles - 2011 SS - Update

I thought I would just say that I turned 30K miles today. I got the car new in September 2010 and I have driven it every day since.

The car has been to the dealer twice. Both times were for the drivers side window regulator... and that was very early on. I suspect a bad batch of window motors.

Other than that, it has been absolutely care free. I have never reset the Average Gas Mileage display and it sits on 16.9 MPG... 80% is around town back and forth to work driving. It's been to Nashvile three times, C5Fest in Indy the first time and 3-4 trips of 2-3hr one way.

The car is NOT garaged and the paint is all nice. With exception of my deer hit and new ZL-1 front bumper, there has never been any damage and there is not a ding or dent in it.

I have changed the oil I think 4 times, and I paid $650 for a very slightly used set of OEM tires from a member here at around 21K miles.

My 2013 now has 32,500 on it in 15 months of ownership

Y'all really don't drive your cars that much, do you?

You've owned your car 3 years and 6 months and you've changed oil only 4 times?

Could be 5...probably 4..considering it currently is about due again...4 times and ready again would be more often than they call for

4 x 7500 = 30,000

I'm pretty sure I changed it at 3000 the first time and then just followed the idiot meter

Read the owners manual, it says do not exceed 10 months w/o an oil change. The OLM works but there are exceptions to every rule.

Good info..either way it hasn't exceeded 10 months or the meter...but I get your point.

I'll probably change a bit more often from here on.

Didn't say I wait till 10K miles, just have been told a good quality synthetic will last 10K on a DD.

I change mine every 6k (or once a year since it is in storage from October till..now).
