L99 headers (sponsors)

I have a 2012 camaro ss and im looking at headers that do not require a tune. Obviously KOOKS 1 7/8 headers with Green catted connection pipes are my only option so i wanted to know how much I'd be paying for them shipped to 07307.

I got a quote from JDP already.
Maryland wants me to call (which i cant til late tonight)

Sorry to tell you but EVERY longtube header will require a tune.

Expect to tune them all. While it might not be "necessary," I'd expect CELs and imperfect driving until you get them tuned.

Sadly, there just aren't any shortcuts. Cars are electronically controlled these days, and that requires you to update the electronics when you update the hardware.

Right

So, all headers will throw a CEL. Headers DO NOT void your warranty, they only void your warranty on the part you replace (and who cares about the warranty on the stock manifolds sitting in a scrap yard, they arent on the car anymore). And a warranty wont cover damage caused by an aftermarket part.

So if in some impossible way, your headers damaged something, then a warranty wont cover the damage. Only damage ive heard of is certain people blame header heat killed their starter. Or headers melting plug wires.

We've got the best price and we can get them shipped today. You will need a tune as you'll get rear o2 codes; it might not happen right away but it will eventually happen.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions.

I installed Pfadt Tri-Ys in July, everyone told me that I'd get a CEL, some 6,000 miles later and I'm still waiting for the CEL to come on. I have a few more mods to do, then I'll get a tune for the whole package.

Why do you think kooks green cats will cause a cel when they were specifically designed not to?

I've seen you state this a few times but never address why kooks green cats would still cause a cel after kooks says they have specifically designed them not to. Multiple vendors have validated this and I haven't seen an example of an actual user that says they've had cel issues while running kooks green cats.

I get that historically all long tubes needed to be tuned to avoid cel's. But technology changes.

Please specify why!

Guys, stop speaking about traditional lt's with traditional hi flow cats. OP is asking about kooks green cats specifically.

What do you know that we don't that would disprove kooks claims? This is a new technology, why is it you think it doesn't work when the entire concept was to offer a lt header hi flow cat setup that DOES NOT require a tune to avoid cel?
