Chevrolet Releases Collection of Performance Parts for fifth-gen Camaros

OHHHHhhh SNAP!
If this has been posted already, mods please merge the threads. I'm eyin' the heads and cam package already.

LS3 cylinder heads / LS7 camshaft package (part number 19300535)

  • For those looking to boost the power of their stock Chevrolet Camaro SS models, this cylinder head and camshaft package directly replaces the factory-installed parts for an additional 40 horsepower. The kit includes CNC-ported LS3 cylinder heads, along with a LS7 camshaft that makes the most of the heads’ airflow. This kit also fits other LS-family engines with at least 4.000-inch bores.

Unless this whole package is less than $1200, theres a whole lot better options out there that net you a whole lot more power than what this is offering.

Edit: Just looked it up and its $1498.00. I can send my heads to TSP for $900, and buy a cam kit for $750. Id spend the extra $150 and get this most out of my parts. Just my $.02.

The question is: do you want to keep you're warranty? Some people here actually like having a warranty.

Edit: never mind my comment, it looks like engine parts are not warrantied.

You can do SO much better from almost any vendor on here performance wise and price wise would be compariable. Now if they warranted it, thats a different story...but they dont so its not.

+1! I'd even go as far to say that's one of the LAST options id go. I can't think of a single part in fact that GM does better, makes better power, or is cheaper than it's aftermarket counterpart. Good find and thanks for sharing though.

That's overpriced for only 40rwhp you can get headers with an intake for around the same gains for around 800 DLLs if you really want the added power you're going to want a custom specd cam and some aftermarket castings that flow well like mast wcch or trick flow now if you really want power go with PRC 265 ls7 small bore heads and a ls7 intake those heads will outflow any ls3 head out there.

No h/c package will keep your warranty unless you are willing to pay an eyeball and a arm for installation on a puny h/c package.

You wold have to pay a dealer to install it and even then the your dealer would have to be pretty cool to let you get away with it. You would need a set of long tube headers (most dealers don't like these) and you would need a custom tune (not sure how many dealers would be able to do this).

I was all about this earlier this year until I found out NO WARRANTY. There is no point.

Anytime you change the tune warranty is over.
