MOD

I am wanting to modify my car but not to the point that my warranty would be terminated! Any suggestions to what I can add to my 2013 2SS RS L99

For real, ported trhottle body and CAI. There's tons of cosmetic shit you can do too.

CAI and exhaust won't void warranty. That's about it. I'd be surprised if you 10 hp out of it though, but it will at least sound like its supposed to. Not really much without giving up the warranty.

I waited 3 years before I got my CORSA exhaust & American Racing Headers, plus a Tune.
WISH I HADN'T!

X2. I worried at first but I figured tomorrow isn't guaranteed. As long as you have your engine tuned right, I wouldn't worry. That's just me.

Here's the list of warranty friendly mods I did to my SS:

1. Cold air intake
2. Race scoop with windshield washer bottle relocation
3. Vmax ported throttle body
4. Cat back exhaust (didn't provide much in the way of performance, but it sure made the car sound better)

I was going to install a set of Solo high flow catalytic converters but ended up trading the SS in on a ZL1.

Since you have an L99, you can also install the Range AFM disable device.

Pretty much anything else beyond this list will require a tune and therefore loss of your powertrain warranty.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) regulates warranties and protects the consumer. A service department or automotive manufacturer can not void your warranty simply because you have installed aftermarket parts or have modified your vehicle. They can, however, deny a warranty claim if they can prove the issue in question was a direct result of the installed part or modification.

Just installed a Cat-Back system in mine, and put a CAI in it a while back. Took it to the dealer, and was told that all was OK, but do not touch the tune. He even told me the ones that can bring it back to factory settings do not work to cover up the new tune, the system takes a snap shot of everything that goes on.
