FS: SLP Blackwing CAI

**** REDUCED ******** First $100.00 shipped. Paypal or Postal MO.

Taken from website;

"SLP Blackwing Camaro 2010-11 V6 (tube and filter).

The power-enhancing technology of SLP's BLACKWING COLD-AIR INDUCTION PACKAGES were pioneered many years ago on SLP's third and fourth generation F-car based Camaro's and is now available for the 2010 V6 Camaro. Each package includes a new high-flow, drop-in, reusable Blackwing air-filter and an OEM quality black-finished polypropylene high-flow air-intake tube with a raised SLP Blackwing logo providing up to a 10 horsepower gain. All necessary hardware and detailed installation instructions included."

I also have a hose i bought and modified so you do not have to cut your OEM intake hose. You can skip steps #8 and 9 and use the piece I supply. (There is also a link to the instructions there.)

see here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138077

I installed it on 4/9/11 and removed it on 6/18/12 with exactly 8956 miles of use.

I have thoroughly cleaned each piece, including the filter. It will need to be re-oiled before use. (I can't find my filter oil at the moment! sorry.)

It will ship in the box i received it in, well packed.

I would give it a rating of 9.5/10.

I have gotten mixed messages on if it will fit 2012 or not, I am pretty sure it will fit 2010-2011.

The reason I changed to Vararam to work better with my ported IM and spacers.

This is a nice kit for a quick few HP and a bit more intake noise.

Complete kit;

Parts list;

Filter "clean side";

Filter "dirty side";

Hoses (one on far right is the extra hose to act as spacer on TB);

Clamps;

Intake tube;

details of extra spacer tube;

what i started with;

cut piece, (included with kit.);

Please post interest on this thread, and PM me.

i think the MAF sensor is a different shape.

may be able to be modified, but not sure????

i think someone modified an injen to work with a 12, not sure who.

so, i can't promise it will work, but it may be able to be made to work.

Since this is basically a hose and filter, wouldn't the MAF remain in the same spot?

looks like it, no mfgr p/n given?

this is the one linked from SLPs site; http://www.lmperformance.com/53826/119.html

and here they don't list the 12 MAF sensor with the 10-11.

http://www.lmperformance.com/t/60-11/119.html

i think the location is the same, but the opening in the air tube is a bit different shape.

Very nice deal on the Blackwing. Had one early on and a nice replacement for the ugly stock tube.

It's nice that the coupler spacer on the TB to accept the tube is included, I was surprised that I had to cut/make one from my stock tube and render it useless.
