Why is FI so expensive?

Most kits I've seen are between $5k and $7k. For an average joe that is a lot of money, and that's not including install and upgrades to the suspension. So what is all included for the price?

Well for the RX SC kit @5995.00 you get the Trifecta FI Tune, the Vortech V3 centrifugal SC, a front mounted IC pulley good for about 6 PSI boost, BOV, 2 valve oil catch can, your choice of either A-pillar or center console gauges, and of course all of your belts hoses piping and fasteners. Prolly a few other things I'm leaving out. You can upgrade you SC kit with a high pressure fuel pump, overdrive pulley good for 10+ #'s of boost and the Super Chiller. I did the pulley and the fuel pump upgrades. Super chiller will come later on.

As was my case I already had some of the parts included in the kit and so Tracy just pro-rated my kit. Good luck.

Hi !

to develop a factory style SC Kit dont forget the min 200.000 USD Investment in testcars , prototyping parts and engineering man-power costs for Soft and Hardwaredevelopment !

the sales price is set for the "end-user" customer and is included the profit for the dealership or salespartner that is ordering the sc-kit for local customers !

greets ASH@IPF-TUNING

Seconds on the R+D costs. I was part of the development on our nitrous kit. The costs and time involved are crazy. Being a large buyer for car upgrades I have wondered things like this. Now I know. I paid 650.00 for my first Access Port and then the second version came out. They dropped the first version due to upgrade limits. I did get a discount on my second one but it was still money spent. I have about $900 just in a box to allow for tuning. I dont even know how much i have in tuning. I had it tuned on the stock turbo and on the new one. Now i need a re-tune because I cant go over 6k with boost.

A. Should have bought oil stock when I was a kid.
B. Should have learned how to tune cars a few years ago.

Do we need to bring back the electric blower? That thing is way cheap. Too bad nobody can tune it. Otherwise it would be wicked awesome and put everyone else out of business.

I dont really have turbos, I got two weedwacker motors with fan blades on them and some dryer hose tubing... All this dumps into the screen (intercooler) I got in front of the radiator... and then there is a honey wagon suction motor that pulls this into the intake manifold...
