DIN size?
Hi guys, whatsup? I was wondering does anybody know the DIN size of the stereo? I was wondering. I love how it looks, but if I were to get the car and wanted to change it, I was just wondering if anyone knows yet if it is a 1, 1.5, or 2 DIN size? Thanks.

Nobody knows.... way too far off from the projected date to know for sure anything like that.

Yup, the sound system is one thing we know nearly nothing about. I'm sure the faceplate and head unit will get a major change, and the info on the concept included nothing about sound system, so we don't even have that to go off of. Sorry.

it seems common now that manufacturers are using double-din head units, chevy included. It makes it that much easier for a factory nav unit... and aftermarket.

I've changed ALOT of stereos in cars.. 2 DIN are much nicer to work with because of the expanded size to work in if you do not wish to remove every piece of plastic from the car

I can assure you all that there will be no standard radio size for this car. Look at the latest pics of the interior. The radio and climate controls are integrated, the car will have factory bluetooth, and the physical dimensions of the radio and HVAC aren't fit for DIN or anything like aftermarket head units.
My advice? If you want a nice stereo system, keep the factory head unit and just upgrade amps and speakers. You wouldn't want to mess with it. |
