Straightpipes and xpipe on wednesday
I have a 1ss ls3, who is getting custom straight pipes put on plus an x pipe as well as new tips. Before I take the plunge, I want to know if I will run into any problems as far as back pressure or whatever. Will the straight pipes and x-pipes do any good performance wise, or will it just be extra loud and grumbly? Should I opt for an aftermarket cai or will I be ok for a while without it? Has anyone who has done this been able to remove their stock exhaust from the cat back in one piece without chopping it up?? Looks to me like it can be done and Id like to keep my stock exhaust whole in case I need to put it back on in the event of getting pulled over... (doubt it will happen but whooo knows)... any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am being charged 400-450 for everything... does that seem like a fair price for everything im having done?
lots of questions but im sure all you folks edumacated enough about this subject can help me haha |

I can only tell you, I love my muffler delete! I also have a CAI inc. intake. No drone(P.S.--They chopped off my mufflers, and I kept them just in case), and love the looks it gets when you pass all the other "quiet" sports cars. My muffler delete w/ 4" tips cost about $300......from what I hear thats expensive....but around North NJ, its standard!

I have the muffler delete only. Didnt go with the x pipe. I kept my stock tips and it only cost me $70 bucks.... best 70 I have spent on the car! Love the way it sounds!

Muffler delete makes the LS3 sound like a race car.
