LOL, I think what you've got is fine but maybe add an extra layer of piece of mind Jason. My experience was clearly from them not being tight enough. I forget the name but there's a self tightening clip you can add to the nuts. Being lock nuts they shouldn't loosen anyway but the amount of pressure and vibration that coupler is seeing may be something to look into.

Going to be attempting a redesign of the tube. Not sure why I didn't think of it before, it was just a "DUH" moment that came to me on Monday... Parts showing up this week. Should fix my clamping woes if it works.
