Is this the best price for 2ss?
Hello folks,
I'm planning to get a 2017 2ss as I'm not happy with my 2017 Mustang GT Premium. I planning to sell my mustang(31 k is what carmax is offerring) and get a 2ss with 9k of negative equity which I'll be paying from my pocket. So I'm looking to cover up the loss by getting a good deal on 2ss. I negotiated with a dealer on a 2ss and they are willing to do for 41k msrp ( Actual MSRP is 47,750) + ttl. Do you guys think it's good deal or shall I wait for sep/oct/nov for the price to drop ? Thanks ! |

$9k of negative equity. I really think you should consider keeping the mustang.
Also CarMax typically always gives low trade in value. See what the dealership will do

I know that's a lot of negative equity !! but I got this bug when I drove my buddy's 2ss. He got a 16 2ss fully loaded for 41k out the door in California last December. So now that I cannot enjoy my mustang planning to get a 2ss.

Yes, I'm not in a hurry but at the same time I'm worried about the value of my Mustang as the new 18's coming up,I'm not sure if my car holds up that 31k value till October.
And for the camaro I guess they might do a 20% percent off as there will be a good discount on 2017 mustangs left as they have the new 18 mustang's coming up. It's just a theory but not sure if they will do that 20% off or not !! |

Maybe considered slightly used and let the 1st owner take the initial depreciation hit. I got my 2SS 6M with 1200 miles and certified with mrc, nav and sunroof for $34k OTD. Side note: If you are a manual enthusiast, definitely get the manual as it is a much more exciting, fun and involving experience than the A8. Night and day better feel than the MT82 with the rev matching enabled imo. If you are planning on supercharging, keep the mustang. Stay away from CarMax. I have moved on to the Gen6 SS from the Mustang GT and haven't looked back

9K out of pocket to cover negative equity? Ouch. That's about the time I'd ask myself if I could do something to the Stang for less than 9K that would make me happy with it. Like a blower...

There is a 1-2K conquest incentive for mustang owners, so the trade in might work out, as well as any tax savings.
