BUMMER
Finally broke down and looked at buying a V8....Great news! Finding out after doing the paperwork that I cannot take delivery for at least a month because of the key recall...Bad news! Salesman tried to get me able to take the car home today...was not meant to be. Seems that the fine is $7000 a day that a dealership sells a camaro to a buyer without doing recall first. If the buyer takes it home before recall work done.....big trouble. Now I have to wait a few weeks! Counting the days!

not sure....all I know is there was a guy there to pick his new one up as it came in and they had to tell him the same thing. My salesman told me it could be as long as 45 days!

This delay in key fobs is BS btw they're dragging their feet they can replace your key with any old style blade key and detach your blade from the current Fob.

So wait. Your telling me they took your deposit, started financing and your paying insurance already and you don't have your car? I sure hope you are getting reimbursed for lost interest and payments.

Hard to believe a $7k fine? Never heard of such a thing. Just go buy another SS from a different dealer that isn't dragging their feet.

the fine is true. Called other dealers...same result. I have to sign the dotted line when its fixed...so I am not paying insurance or payments yet. Apparently there are a couple dealerships in Ct that are in deep you know what because they let the customers take it of them lot. There were doing everything they could to allow me to take it home.
2010 Camaro (L99)2/SS/RS Victory red 30,000 unmolested miles, 1 owner clean car fax. Thinking long tubes,supercharger and some suspension upgrades....been shopping on laptop all day lol! |

Wow so even a pre-owned one? I figured just for new stock. Craziness! No wonder the yellow '12 Vert at the bottom of my streets been there for 2 months.
