Funny I had a new key programmed 2 weeks ago the dealership knew nothing bout the recall on keys, I'll be keeping my switchblade keys.

alot of dealerships are finding out the hard way after they have let the cars leave the dealership. Got the final word on mine today....no fix...no leave. They are hunting down blanks to make a set. I told them that if I did not have it by the end of the week I was moving on. Called 2 dealerships today and looks like its sinking into them also....they are waiting for replacements. I asked them first thing if they had recall done...that was the only way I was coming in....nobody had them.

Kelley, try MJ Sullivan in New London... they had a decent amount of camaros on the lot, and I believe they had a Red one (not sure of the class) but worth a shot. They let me drive right off the lot.

They are one of the dealerships that just got reported. I have been calling around and I believe its starting to sink in that they are breaking the law. I went on ebay and there are tons of uncut keys that work for the camaros 2010-2014. I sent that to the dealer I am dealing with and they are going to look into it. Dealer says 14 days to get keys....ebay auctions have overnight available on all of them. What the heck is the difference?

wow so i just called around and not one person has the keys not even Macmulkin they are a week out if i order them. What i don't get is they told me they need to be cut to my Vin number... So i got a remote start with 2 keys added on in less then 3 days and was never asked for my VIN. Mind you i'd never been to the place that installed my remote start before it's apparently an issue of GM not sending the blank keys out yet. So the public has known about this for a month almost half the dealerships didn't know til 2 weeks ago and they still havent been sent parts from GM for customers.

Only the Morons at GM would stop all deliveries on Camaros and not have parts to fix it. No wonder GM blows!

Wow! That is awful. Horrible business sense there. I could understand taking a but to get them for cars still waiting on the lot but when you have one sold and signed for you'd figure they'd put some pep in there step. Good luck with the search.

Man. Sorry to hear. Since you have to wait so long, have you considered ordering one? So it's EXACTLY the way you want it!

It's funny because i was told you could decline the fix/recall it just puts you on the hook for keys somehow falling out of an ignition but nothing more. I'm inclined to say your dealership was an idiot if you'd already singed you should've been able to decline the work.
