Any reviews on DS1.11 track pads?
I was happy with the performance of my Hawk DTC-60, but they do NOT last.
I want to try DS1.11 but want to see how they compare Any thoughts? Thanks!

I am using the DS1.11 on Sam Strano's recommendation. Unfortunately, I have never used any Hawks on track, so I can't compare them. Short version is that I was looking for a track pad I could "hot swap" with the OE Ferodo "DS Performance" pads (i.e. no bedding required, just swap pads and send it). I obviously wanted them to work well at higher track-use temps and be easy on rotor wear, and I wanted the pads themselves to last for a while. I also wanted a somewhat linear feel without them being grabby and hard to modulate. The DS1.11 has fit that bill perfectly, and since they are the same brand as my street/autocross pads (OE), I can hot swap them without issue.
My use case is a fully stock SS 1LE on Goodyear SC3 tires, and I won't ever use a more grippy tire than a top 200tw autocross tire (e.g. RT660 or Bridgestone RE71RS). If someone has 600rwhp and/or is using roadracing slicks, they might be better off with the DS1.12. However, for my car I'm very happy with the DS1.11 for full 20-minute lapping sesssions.

I have a set of rear DS1.11's from my 2013 1LE that will fit my 2023 1LE and I plan to get a set of front DS1.11's to use with it. I have had great experiences with the Ferodo's pads and will continue using them on my 2023 1LE as well. They have a very linear mu vs temp curve (makes them very easy to modulate), good longevity, and handle track temps very well. I think you will like them.

I installed a set of 1.11s on my BCD SS 1LE. Street wise, they feel great, are very responsive, nice firm pedal, maybe a touch too much cold initial bite, but easily manageable. I'll be on track with them the first time on Wednesday. I had ST43s on my previously owned '14 SS 1LE and these 1.11s fell like a slightly toned down ST43. If they don't prompt ABS easily, I suspect I'm gonna love them. I'll be on Goodyear F1 SuperCar 3

Comparing hawk to ds1.11...
Hawk seems to give more mu on the 2nd half of the pedal push... Ds1.11 has the same braking no matter what pressure or temperature applied. Super consistent. I'm putting new rear rotors on this weekend. I'll report back with how the ds1.11 wore. Side note: hawk dtc60 lasted 4 days.

ST43’s are hard to beat as a long wearing, gentle on rotors, track-focused pad that can be run on the street. I’m running the Hawk 60’s right now because the ST43’s were on back order and I had an imminent track day. A good pad for sure, but the wear and tear is worlds apart.
Even with their high cost, the wear rate and gentleness on rotors I’m pretty sure the long range cost would be among the lowest with the ST43, and from the comparators you put out, would be a solid alternative. There are better track specific pads (better bite, more wear) and better street specific pads (less bite, less wear).

Also... Those pads haven't been available for years

They were excellent and did not overwhelm the tires. As I previously mentioned, I used to run the Raybestos ST43 on my Gen5. I want to call the DS1.11s as "ST43 Lite". They didn't have as much friction as the ST43s but the difference is not great. I was running Goodyear 3s and I had no ABS interference or ICE mode. But I am gentle on application. Others may have a different result. As I mentioned the initial bite is strong but not quite as strong as the ST43s. On my Gen5 I could get into ABS when I ran the ST43s so I think my gentle foot is due to working around that.
Modulation was excellent. With my big BCD rotors and calipers plus the CT5 BlackWing deflectors, heat is not a concern. I actually think they need to run hotter. I am seeing some rotor wear which means they are, at least on the street, running too cool. Running too cold puts the pads into the abrasive friction zone which is going to wear the rotor faster. More heat moves the pads into the adherent friction zone.

Thx cdb. With the cold high abrasion, swapping the pads at the track appears to be the solution.

I agree. I have a set of HP1000s and DS2500s on the shelf to swap if I want to. Those are an easy compatible set of pads all within the Ferodo family.
I will also add that I had the DS1.11s on the car for a trip to the fun roads in the Smoky Mnts of TN and NC. Tail of the Dragon, Foothills Parkway, etc. Every application of the brakes was pure joy.

I drove my buddy's 680 HP A10 SS 1LE with BCDs and HP1000 pads that same day. While I braked earlier vs driving my SS 1LE, the HP1000s got the job done. They have a softer feel and longer pedal vs the 1.11s. A stock car race car buddy went for a ride with me and we talked about my brakes before we went out. He said his race car has pretty good braking, unknown Hawk pads. After the ride, he was amazed at my brakes. He said the were way better than his stock car.

More at a shock that the DTC-60s didnt last for you. I'm on 4 days so far and theyre still showing almost zero signs of wear. Lime Rock park and NJMP Thunderbolt, both heavy braking zones after a long straight
