I upgraded my master cylinder over the summer and created a detailed, step by step video guide showing how to replace and / or upgrade the master cylinder on your 5th generation Camaro. CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEO This is an upgrade to my stock 2012 V6 Master Cylinder to the larger ZL1 Master Cylinder to complement my ZL1 brake upgrade (video coming soon).

I would recommend that you bench bleed the new master cylinder to remove as much air as possible from the system. I show how to properly bench bleed the master cylinder in the following link: Click Here

boy thats alot of brakes for a V6 car but better to have too much brakes instead of not enough

Probably not completely necessary but I got the parts second hand and pieced it together over time for a good price

I do not believe so. For the 2012 model year they share the same part number: 22956541. I did not check the other model years.

2013 ZL1 and SS master brake cylinders are the same, V6 are different
