Tony unfortunately I bought the Katech TB before reading all this but I may send you my oem one and do a real world review of the difference between the two, and retune between both. (My car makes 653/664 to the wheels but I’m curious to see the difference!

I’m throwing my Katech one on with my current tune and see if it fixed that weird initial lag on the throttle.on the A10 it drives me crazy. My E92 M3 did it and I eventually sold the car over it.

Mine arrived last night. This afternoon I proceeded to the garage, turned on the stereo, got my tools and did the swap. Three songs later, about 10 minutes, I was done. I took it for a short drive around the neighborhood and noticed a much improved throttle response. So far, I'm quite happy with Tony's product.

Will this require a tune? Sorry if answered already. Got the rotofab, kooks headers and such on the way already, just seeing if I’d be better of doing it all in 1 bunch

No. It does not require a tune. But, I'd recommend one since you have the intake and headers on the way.

My ported TB gives you alot more performance gains in the lower throttle positions....more responsiveness.....similar gains at WOT but the real reason to own my TB is all the gains in the "area under the curve".....the lower throttle positions where you spend 95% of your time driving. It will be a much better alternative for the lag right off idle....the Katech unit makes it better.....mine eliminates it completely.

This is a good informative thread I posted awhile back with actual data/flow test results to back my claims
