How fast do you think it will take them to create a Range Device for Gen 6?

I know the C7 Vette has a Range Device option as well and the LT1 comes from a C7.

Range Device kills the AFM system. So it will not go from V8 to V4, it keeps it in V8 all the time.

Isn't the V8/V4 only for auto? Or manual too?

By the time you're driving off the lot your Range will be waiting at your doorstep.

Probably already works but if you have an early version, you may need to send it in for a firmware upgrade. I'll have to do that.

Why is it called a "range device" and not something normal, like AFM eliminator?

No kidding. We have the skip shift eliminator for the manual transmission. How in the world does the word "range" correlate to AFM?

Range technology makes it. Its name is afm disabler, but people here call it the range.

I do not understand the aversion to AFM. Its there to save you money with fuel. It does not interfere with the performance at all. It is there for cruising on the highway at speed enjoying your ride and it shuts down 4 Cylinders to add to your fuel mileage. The second you touch the petal it turns off. It does not engage until you are over 45mph. and if you are in manual mode it does not turn on at all. The driver does not feel anything. And to turn it off you run the risk of altering your ECM! Makes zero sense.

I will be getting the manual and eliminating the skip shift feature. All of these "fuel saving" features either affect tune-ability or driving feel.

I think most Camaro and performance enthusiasts, especially people putting down 35+ large for this car, really don't care about fuel economy.

I know I don't. Anything over 15 mpg for 455 horses is just a bonus.
