car 2017 Camaro 4cyl turbo
2nd gear syncro went need to replace maybe warranty dno
is the transmission a tr3160?
is there a reinforcement for the synods ?
would the items from the ford variant of the tr3160 work? same manufacturer
and would anything from a 6060 fit?
I'm looking to redo this so it dosent happen as easy again car only has 7500 miles on it

Called tr and they were hush about interchanging parts from the Ford's version and chevys version just different bellhousing under my assumption.
But mostly I'm looking for replacement syncros

Is this not covered by warranty? Let the dealer handle all that.

I can't afford to take a chance financially with the warranty as there saying it probably won't be covered
the syncro only costs 230$ so me and my father (master of replacing them.... Lol ) will do it. Give me a chance to learn how to do m.t syncros and some Piks for everyone on here

But I still want to know if the ford version has stronger syncros as there's is beefed up

I also called tremec and they said the only place to get them at the moment is dealer

some update ive torn apart the tremec 3160 2nd gear syncro was toasted lol
the syncro assembly was slightly chewed so I got a replacement
just waiting on a bearing and it can start to go together

PART FROM THE CADDY will work a.c delco bearings and tremec gears
still not too sure on the mustangs parts id have to goto a ford dealer and check the p.n for there syncros
Monday will start getting it back together HOPEFULLY....

He must've I got to say it scary I've got the V6 with the same transmission on Factory order right now hopefully it's not going to be a POS transmission

No only mods I have are intake and cat back
They were trying to say if it was abused then it wasn't under warranty well who buys. ****ing sports car and Dosent spank it ....
My next mod when this is getting put back together is actually the zzp downpipe while I'm in there
It was a 1800$ish repair from them or maby free or I can spend 4-500 $ and know stress free
They mostly just pissed me off
And good thing I didn't have them tear it apart the tranny guy didn't know what he was talking about when I needed 3 gears pulled off to open the center housing

Maybe use a different dealership none of your mods will warrant voiding a warranty on a transmission. BTW the ZZP Downpipe Catless or Hi-Flo Catted bolt up perfectly.

yup I posted my 3 vids up on the f.b page sounds way nicer now

tranny is back in the car now high flow is on and tires have proceeded to spontaneously spin under command lol
