What to buy?!

So I decided to wait on the 6th Gen camaro and it's finally here. Now I am stuck between it and the challenger srt8 base model 392 or a 2ss camaro. I can't decide which one is worth the 45k or so.

Camaro pros:
The interior is beautiful and I love the massive display
Super capable track machine
Fuel economy looks pretty good(comparitivly)

Challenger pros:
Great interior
Tons of room
Good cruiser
Also has the muscle car look (curb appeal)

Anyway I would love all your thoughts and points of view! So any advice would be awesome. Thanks every one!

They are both great cars, the Challenger is kind of a boat though. A big comfortable fast cool looking boat. Depends on what you want out of your driving experience. If you are just city cruising straight line stop light to stop light forever, I'm sure the Challenger is a good choice. I'm a Camaro fan and that's what I would go with.

What's the weight of the Challenger again?

If you want a fun to drive kid hauler, get the Challenger. If you want an amazing driving machine, get the Camaro.

It's like 4200lbs I believe. I have been sitting here for the past week or two trying to figure out which I want but can't decide. Thanks mcsoul for your thoughts !

If I wasn't going to buy a Camaro, I'd get the Challenger over the Mustang. The new '15 updates to the interiors, and the updated infotainment really changed the car. I've test driven the Scat Pack twice (mn6 and a8) and it's got one of the best sounding exhausts on a stock car I've ever heard. It's very comfy and looks great, a super 70's Challenger vibe to it.

Since our kids are grown and gone, I don't need the rear seats, so Camaro it is. If I needed to take adults somewhere I'll drive our sedan. If I had kids, and didn't have another car (ie, the Challenger / Camaro wasn't a toy) I wouldn't hesitate to get the Scat Pack. Wifey and I both got in the back seats, plenty of room!

Are you interested in taking turns fast then the Camaro is for you. If your interested in straight line speed they will be close in automatic form, manual the Camaro will be faster. After you answer these questions which one do you think looks better. Pricing you should be able to get into a well equipped ScatPack for low 40s, the SS with options being new you will be at 45k+.

For me the ScatPack still looks better, but the Camaro should perform better. Tough decision.

I test drove a few Challengers after the refresh last year. The new interior is nice, and the the 392 makes good power. BUT, I just couldn't get past it's weight and size. You really feel the cars hulk when driving it, and it drove me nuts after 20 minutes of driving. I am not a 4 door guy, but when you are at the Challengers weight and size, the Charger just makes more sense. Plus, the Chrysler dealer network is a negative for me.

If you're looking to carry people and cargo on a regular basis get the Challenger, otherwise get the Camaro.

I ordered a loaded 2SS Camaro including the A8, 6-piston brakes, MagRide, dual exhaust, Garnet Red, etc., etc.,. The MSRP is right at $53k. Even though I'll get a discount off the list price it's an expensive car. However, It's what I want and you can't take it with you. Live your dream.

2SS w/ MRC & NPP
or
SRT w/ scat pack

Sports car vs. roomy muscle car.

Your call.

Finally, someone who's ordered a 6th Gen the right way.

Congrats!

Look what you ordered. You made up your mind once.

If you need much bigger back seat, then Challenger may be right choice, but if back seat was the main deciding factor, I don't think you would've cross-shopped between these two anyway.

And you are asking this question on Camaro forum, so you know what people will say.... See? Deep inside, you want "YOU" to choose Camaro, and you just want some nudging....
Go pick up that Camaro and don't look back!

(Again,,,, where is my car????)

This does not exist.

Challenger/Charger R/T Scat Pack

or

Challenger/Charger SRT

Both have the 6.4L 392 HEMI, but the SRT gets magnetic ride, 6 piston brakes, and wider tires.
