No lift shift on m6

The M6 cars are supposed to have a no lift shift setting for drag racing? Has anyone tried this feature?

Although I haven't updated the thread yet (will confirm info and update in the spring) it was brought to my attention that the no lift shift will work at lower RPMs than the 6000 I orginally thought
FYI I have NOT confirmed the less than 6000rpm info

It will work at any rpm basically as long as the throttle is at least 93% floored and you are going over 31 mph according to the stock tune tables. If done right, you should hear a pretty loud "crack/pop" from the exhaust on the shift when it burns off the excess fuel from the no lift shift.

Or I just have some really bad gas!

No, it's not you...I get it at times too on a high rpm shift. It's the CFCO (clutch fuel cut off) dumping the unneeded fuel as well...the open NPP will make it pretty noticeable when it ignites and gives you those loud crack and pop noises.

First time I heard it, it scared the crap out of me lol...it was loud, almost like a gunshot...yours like that too?

What does the transmission do to avoid slamming your clutch and tranny with that sudden load drop?

You're probably letting out on the clutch too quickly. It should shift just fine.

This feature is on all V8 models.

It just comes natural after a while.

We had three or four warm days in a row here, so Thursday I took my car for a ride. I tried this no lift shift and it felt like I was dumping the clutch on it and broke the tires lose (2nd - 3rd shift). It did not feel like it did anything fuel wise and made no noises. I probably did it wrong, but I left the throttle on the floor.

Just have enough brk in miles now to start running harder. Haven't tried the no lift feature yet, but a couple of runs up to 6000, in 1,2nd and 3rd with just a fast lift shift there is a very noticeable delay or pause between shifts. Will this change if I use track mode, and turn off traction control (I was in sport mode)?
