I did the update while at work and tried it on the drive home. Mine worked without any glitches. Samsung Galaxy S4 and 2016 2SS Camaro, FWIW.

Ditto. Used Waze with AA to and from work today. Flawless and very responsive! So far I am pleased.

Now...let's get that speed limit update!

Have been looking at getting a ZL1 with Nav, but after reading this I feel a little better if I can't get it.

I like my wife's Mazda with the HUD and the Nav showing your next turn and distance to it.

I know going the Waze route I won't have that. Is it possible in a future update or it's impossible to integrate it with the hardware/software?

The speed limit would be nice. Is this something they are working on?

Might have to upgrade my phone, saw someone had an HTC One M8 and it wasn't working. I guess we will see.

as far as i know the HUD only works with the oem nav system. I dont think the car can pull any data from android auto and as far as i know there is no API for android auto to talk to extra devices in a car directly (some can bus messages are used as triggers to send certain commands back to your phone to indicate things like "park", but AA has no power over that). It's not much more than a video streaming mechanism.

You wont miss the hud after using AA.

I bought a cheap android phone just to use waze AA! Apple doesn’t allow waze on CarPlay... love seeing the cop warning signs on the headunit!!

I will just use my iphones hotspot to run the AA connection. Otherwise I hate android OS.

Got a question, if I use Waze thru Android Auto, can i still listen to music from the car radio using the car's tuner or do i have to play music via the phone to the radio?

Yes you can still listen to the radio/XM while using AA.

Yes! Speed limit and current speed show on mylink screen. Pretty nice! Wish they would make it a little bigger, but it’s great having it finally.

Quick question does spotify show up on top of waze on android auto like it does on the normal app on your phone or do you have to switch apps? A little disappointed about not showing turns on the HUD but meh non issue. Also does anyone know if YAV1 shows up on android auto? This one will really disappoint me.....
