well I am still displaced.....the Brazos River still hasn't crested, as I am a lot closer to the gulf and the water is still coming my way. the good news is that our neighborhood is still dry.....but all roads going in and out are closed and flooded. There is about 30 or so people that stayed and are protecting the neighborhood. anything and everything from sandbagging a few parts of our levee to providing security to all of the homes...We have nicknamed them the Beaver Crew. as of this post, the river level is at 30.76' with a projected river crest of 32'. the current projected crest will be Tuesday morning.....just keeping the faith and a prayer in my heart......

I made it through without any issues. Another foot of water and it would have made it into my house. My neighbors down the street were not so fortunate. My neighborhood looks a lot like the video from Mike.

Heartbreaking

I live in League City and received 25+ inches of rain in 8 hours (sat night/sun morning) and over 45 inches during the storm.

thanks......the hardest part is the not knowing.....the original projection was the crest was last Friday....now it still hasn't crested and won't for another 2 days....this is driving me nuts. we have planned for the worst.....and praying for the best. Some of our other car clubs friends haven't faired so well, but we are maintaining hope.

I'm just down the coast a little ways from you.....I'm in West Columbia...right on the Brazos River. As the crow flies, the river is about a quarter mile away. fortunately the neighborhood developer back in the early 70's had the fore though to build a levee around the entire neighborhood.....otherwise everyone would already be underwater.

Yes, this is just a few blocks from my house.

Good news is I was high and dry with 10 inches to spare, but we had over 400 homes go under bad like this one.

Been working 15hr days running a command center since so haven't been posting here. Lots of lives affected, and tons of volunteers helping. The response is nothing short of amazing...
