16 Camaro SS vs. 17 Mustang GT on race track
My buddy drives 17 Mustang GT with performance package, (I'm not exactly sure about their official name, but you know what I mean... the one with 6 piston Brembo, and Recaro seat) and we were out at Grattan raceway last weekend.
We both know the track pretty good, we both have been tracking for about 10 years. Both cars with 6 piston Brembo, and RE71R tires. I think it's safe to say, Camaro is faster than Mustang on road course.

With what's been said about the performance difference between the GT and SS here, I thought you would have just blown by the Mustang. Of course I don't know the difference between the skill levels of you and your buddy. Looks like a good time though, and that's what really counts! Nice video.

My best lap time of the day was 1:28.24, and his best was 1:31.12, so yeah, there was a pretty big gap. As you can see in the video, I gave him a head start, and as I was catching up to him, we get held up by a car, and he gets to pass and I get held up, so he gains little on me again. That actually made the chase more fun. One time I was behind him on straight, I actually had to let off throttle little bit so I don't hit him from behind. (you can probably hear that from the video) Both great cars. We are living in great time to own American muscle cars for sure.
