Hi,

I just traded in my '15 2SS and pre-ordered a 2018 ZL1 White A10 with Black Center Strip (cant have sunroof im 6'3'' and need the extra 1'' of headspace).

My dealer cut me a break and only asked me 500$ deposit instead of 2000$, and they told me they were entitled for 3 and already had a 1LE secured.

However he told me that he could not promise that he could be at MSRP, I could not really understand the exact reason for that. (something like because they are hard to get etc) anyway I dont really know why that would affect it.

I wanted to know my fellow canadians brothers, did you get your ZL1 at MSRP or above and how much more?

A break? For a deposit?
If you put a deposit you should have final price in writing.
Find another dealer.
As far as I know the 2017 had an availability limit. Not the 2018.

Get your deposit back. That's silly

I have seen dealers that asked for 5000$ up front.

And there is only 200 ZL1 2018 for Canada.

Yeah. I don't understand how you place a deposit on an unknown price. Unless things are wholly different in CA.

They are a pain in the butt to get in Canada, only selected dealer can have them and they cant guarantee any deliveries dates.

Only 50 2017 ZL1 made it in Canada regarless of configuration A10 of M6 Convertible or hardtop etc...

Its just to be putted on a list of order, if the order get accepted then we sit down and discuss price etc.
My deposit it 100% refundable if I dont agree with the pricing.

I would not. A bill of sale is a bill of sale. Don't need a deposit.
Bought my camaro with a trade in. Agreed on pricing, signed a deal and walked out of the dealer. Drove my truck another 11 weeks until my car came in. Gave them the keys and drove away in my car.
No deposit. No we don't know the price b.s

I am afraid that things are not so simple with the ZL1 unfortunately.

Apparently they sell them 10 000$ over MSRP because they are so hard to get. But I told them that im not paying over MSRP.

I am just a military, not a millionaire of course rich ppl that wants that car no matter what are gonna pay the extra for sure 10k is nothing when u are whealty....

Worst case scenario I will get another 2SS.... still gonna be a substantial upgrade over my 5th gen.

I got lucky and found a dealer with a 1le allocation that promised me they wouldn't go over msrp but required 5k deposit and at the time price IGN in Canada was unavailable I now know the price is 82400 plus tax so I feel very lucky lol now the only question is when I will get the damn thing looks like next spring even though I was told August

In Ontario they are not allowed to increase the price over MSRP. What some dealers do like a GT350R, they demo it put 1000km on and because the car appreciated they sold it for more.

Paid MSRP no discounts in Ontario for ZL1 MY18. But put a 3k deposit down to hold the spot. This was because they couldn't really pull up a bill of sale in April for a 2018. It was to hold the only car they were getting.

I just called the dealership and told them its unacceptable to sell over MSRP for WHATEVER reason. Just the fact that they might try to pull it off got me cold, so I am backing out of it.

Asked for my deposit back, sales representative said no problem and he gonna mail me a check.

Dealer can't sell over msrp for a new car in Canada. Illegal. Only way around it is used which I seen a zl1 on Kijiji for $100g few months ago in Toronto.
