I went with the VVT-2 and TSPs heads with all the add ons. Heads are at TSP now.
If you want sound then just get exhaust and cutouts. If your auto you'll need a converter and if you're stick you're going to loose drivability with a stage 3.

Which fuel lobe are you going with: stock, 10, or 32%?

Patrick G can always spec you a custom cam to your wants/needs. The cost for his recommendation is $25 and Texas Speed can grind it for you on your choice of lobes and material.

Point me to anyone that can install for 1k thats not gonna ruin your motor. I was quoted $2700 for my lowest install price, thats with me supplying absolutly everything! Hence the reason my e85 kit and vvt-2 cam is now up for sale. I ordered my procharger!

$350 shipped if anyones interested in the cam. Thats 70 off price, plus shipping cost. And tsp is good with working with you also, they told me if I wanted a boost friendly custom ground cam to simply send them the cam back and pay the $25 price difference for the custom ground cam.

That's why I said $1000 Plus Bc it depends on if someone is doing the DOD delete kit or not. If you are doing DOD delete, you gotta remove the heads and it goes up to $2500 and more. But if it's just a regular cam swap, then it's only $1K or so.

Well, I am not someone to tell someone that they are wrong because I do not know everything, and there may be a way, but a cam install on one of these engines is going to run more than $1,000... Here is my build thread where I just did heads/cam on my 17 ZL1.

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=500829

In my opinion (FWIW) there is really no way to do a cam in this platform, reliably at least, without pulling the engine. Now that is not to say someone will not try, and they may even succeed, but it would be a crap shoot. You CANNOT get the timing chain off without removing the oil pump. Cannot get pump off without dropping pan. Pan is sealed on and it would be very, very hard to drop it enough to clean the surfaces well enough to ensure a good seal and then there is a great chance that bits and pieces of sealant would drop in the pan. Other issue will be that there is not enough room to pull cam out the front without removing radiator which is in turn connected to all of the heat exchangers in front of it.... which means cracking open a/c and removing all of it.

My initial intentions were to do everything with engine in the car but after taking things apart and looking it very quickly became apparent that pulling the engine was the only way to go. Hence you will not get it done for a grand. But I've been wrong once or twice before.

Is DOD delete only required on A8's or do you have to do the same with M6's?

I think it's required on M6 cars Bc it's in the engine but just disabled.

Even the ZL1, none of which have DOD, have the DOD lifters. I went with the LS7 lifters in mine simply because they are tried and true, they have a good reputation. Not overly expensive either.
