Now for people who let dirt, road grime and brake dust build up then I guess a dedicated cleaner is needed.
I tested your theory yesterday. I maintain my wheels weekly. I have Max Guard Wheel Coat wax applied.

i rinsed with pressure washer, foamed the wheels , rinsed the foam without agitating and I still had dirt stuck.

I used Trans Mate Tame Tiger brake dust remover. I sprayed Tame Tiger, let it dwell 5 minutes and rinsed with power washer. I did not use a brush. No more dirt.

Trans Mate Tame Tiger brake dust remover smells like hell but works flawlessly. Turns red when contacts brake dust.

I've used Sonax and wasn't all that impressed. I'm trying to decide which wheel cleaner I want to try out next. Is the P&S Brake Buster used straight or did you dilute it at all?

Sonax seems to work well but I think people are looking for a spray on wash off system. Even with my rims ceramic coated I still need to light brush over the dirt to agitate it to wash away. Yes Sonax pre agitates it but still needs to be touched.

I used Sonax with and without a wheel brush. Even with a wheel brush, there would be some dirt/haze left behind.
